A heads up to all those using Gmail's 'Keyboard shortcuts'.
GSDB now correctly synchronizes with both mouse and keyboard navigation.

Ouch! It appears we're experiencing some growing pains....

I've been rearranging some code sections to allow the keyboard shortcuts to be tracked...

Try re-downloading now -- this should fix the problem...

Bye the way inside the script file (near the top) you should find the string: "@Version 0.3.3".

Let me know if there are any other issues.

The location of the buton is a bit confusing for me, the new delete button is where the archive button used to be. I already clicked it twice by mistake while wanting to archive emails - damn muscle memory!

So I just placed it after the report spam button where I have less chance of clicking it by mistake.

In case someone wants to do the same, just add at line 102: insert_point=insert_point.nextSibling.nextSibling.nextSibling.nextSibling;

Otherwise thanks for the neat hack.

i did something similar to patrick. but i did this instead:
changed line 101 to:
if (0==id || 1==id) insert_point=insert_point.nextSibling.nextSibling.nextSibling.nextSibling;
added this after line 101:
if (2==id || 3==id) insert_point=insert_point.nextSibling.nextSibling.nextSibling.nextSibling.nextSibling.nextSibling;

this way the delete button is after the report spam button in both the inbox view and the message view. :)

Hey All!
I incorporated your suggestions and changed the placement of the Smart-Delete Button. (See the latest posting.) I went one step further and put it to the right of the 'more actions' dropdown.

I also made the button text Dark Red when enabled, to be more visible, so I think accidental delete clicks will be a thing of the past.

I took a slightly different approach from your suggestions. Rather than adding several additional 'nextSibling' statements, I located the 'more actions' dropdown specifically and placed the Smart-Delete button right after it with a spacer.

Anyway, let me know what you think. Obviously, none of the code is "written in stone".

PS: Thanks for the mention s.h.a.d.o.w!
