Gmail Smart-Delete Button Ver. 0.7.4 Interim Release!

[for FireFox ver 1.5+ & Greasemonkey 6.4 users]

PARTIAL FIX - In response to Gmail's playing games with their document object model, this interim release restores 'Smart-Delete' functionality for the 'Upper' Smart-Delete button in the main window AND, thanks to *** Meetesh Karia ***, the 'Upper' Smart-Delete button in the MailItem window!!!. (The lower buttons have yet to be addressed).

I will also try, in the near future, to integrate the logic of versions 7.2 and 7.4, so the script will work if Gmail continues to toggle back and forth their DOM changes.

Features: User defined keyboard shortcut - User can set which key they would like to use to trigger mail deletion. (The default letter is 'd', but by editing the script file any letter can be used. Just find the following line of code near the beginning of the script:
var TheDeleteKey='d';
And change the key letter to whichever one you like.
Be careful, though, not to select a shortcut already being used by Gmail!)

Download here: Gmail Smart-Delete Button Ver. 0.7.4
[To install, right-click the above link & choose 'Install User Script...' from context menu.]

Keep those comments and suggestions coming!
I'll try to implement any useful (and reasonable) suggestions you come up with.
Check back often for updates!

I love the keyboard shortcut for delete. Thank you very much for writing it.

Another keyboard shortcut that I would use frequently would be "Back to Search results" (when looking at a conversation retrieved with a search). I don't think that there's a built-in shortcut.

Thanks again for this keyboard shortcut. Gmail now includes a built-in keyboard shortcut for delete, "#", which is documented but unheralded at http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=6594

Also, the keyboard shortcut "u" can be used for "Back to search results" (see my previous comment); in general it return to conversation lists from conversation view.

Thanks again for this shortcut, which served really well.
